The Flight Gala Committee is hard at work for the October 21st event and it is shaping up to be great, as I mentioned before. We could use some help with transporting and "planting" the butterflies both at the Pioneers' Museum and possibly at another location, besides getting them to the Gala. Would those of you who can help in this regard please step forward and talk to Vance Valades (or call him at 719-321-0050)?
We will be having a few social events in the next couple of months, some with the Gala and the Preview and another special one in September that will be announced in the next few weeks. Social settings are great ways to get to know each other so I hope many of you will come to them...but you'll have to sign up early because some are limited as to the number of people who can attend.
Please let Claudine know if you will be bringing guests to the August 11th meeting so that we can have enough tables set up to accommodate them. I'm looking forward to your guests and possible new members who will be there.

Thanks to Elaine Gibbs for alerting some of our television stations and The Gazette about our programs! Last Friday, we were on KOAA at 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm about the Canine Companions with our big, bold Rotary emblem in the background. Jolly good!
