Thank you everyone who came out last night to our social at the Golden Bee. We had a larger than expected turnout, which was wonderful. Unfortunately, the Golden Bee could not accommodate the additional 10 people, so we are sorry for those who were turned away. For future socials, we'll make sure we have plenty of room for all who would like to attend.
We've also had a wonderful response to all our community service projects. Thank you to those who were able to carve out some time during this very busy season to participate. It's been fun having a good time doing good work! There is still time to sign up for helping with wreath laying on Saturday and for bell ringing for the Salvation Army. Would love to have you join us!
This week is our Christmas/Holiday luncheon featuring singing-along with the Manitou Strings. Fun, fun, fun!
Don't forget, we will not be meeting the next two weeks so that everyone can spend time with family and friends.
Our next meeting will be on January 6th and we will be at our new meeting location at the DoubleTree. Please watch for emails and the bulletin at the end of the month for further details.
Our next speaker will be Susan Edmundson, President and CEO of the Downtown Partnership to give us an update on what is new and what is coming to Downtown. Come and bring a friend. Don't forget to RSVP by Monday (January 2nd) at 5 pm.

Susan Edmondson is President & CEO of Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs, a membership organization ensuring that downtown serves as the economic, civic and cultural heart of the city. In that role, she helms four corporate entities — two nonprofits and two tax districts – and has led an economic resurgence of over $2 billion of new investment into the city center. She previously helmed a local foundation and has been a journalist in Colorado, Nevada and California. She serves on the board of the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum and is co-founder of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region.
Queen Palmer Elementary Gift Bag Stuffing and Santa Day
We have the sign up ready for Santa Day on December 16th at Queen Palmer. We need 6-8 Rotarian Elves to volunteer and help hand out the holiday gift bags to the children. We will arrive at 2:20 pm and will be finished by 3:15 pm. You will need to fill out a volunteer form for School District 11, either Carol or I can email the form to you and collect them that day. The Concert Committee is forming with captains being chosen to plan a Concert to Rock Your World next October for 8500 ticketed guests.
