The Community Service Committee is looking for volunteers for The Jared Box Project. Click on Sign Up to view available slots and book yourself directly online.

The Jared Box Project will provide a plastic shoe-box size storage box filled with toys, games, & fun to give the "gift of play" to children at St. Francis Medical Center who may be patients in emergency rooms, hospital rooms, surgical centers and clinics.
The Community Service Fund has agreed to help purchase the storage boxes and various items from Oriental Trading Company to help create the boxes and volunteers are welcome to add additional items to boxes to make them more personal. Here is a suggested toy list for reference.

Once you have signed-up we will coordinate how many boxes and items are needed to be ordered which will then be delivered or can be picked up for you to build on your own time and will include a box label, a note you can personalize and instructions on how to build the box. The hope is to order items by the end of this week so that we can begin creating the boxes by June 12th and be complete by June 19th (if that long is needed). If small groups would like to get together to make the boxes please feel free to do so at your discretion with social distancing practices in place.

Before ordering can take place we just need to know who is interested. I have included 20 sign-up slots, but will add more if there is a high interest in participation.
