Permanent Endowment Fund of the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs
April 30, 2018
The Permanent Endowment Fund creates a lasting value for the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs by investing assets into long-term investments and growing these assets over time.  The corpus of this endowment shall not be spent or used in the future except in rare and unusual circumstances. The earnings and interest will create greater sources of revenue for the Service Fund of the Rotary Club to enhance life in Colorado Springs and beyond, through charitable grants made each year. This fund will provide ancillary and additional support to the funds that the Service Fund raises each year and distributes.
The Endowment Fund of the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs will be a growing corpus of money that will serve as a permanent source of revenue for the Club's charitable purposes and a means for club members and others to create a perpetual legacy to improve lives and our world. This Endowment will increase in size by investing in growth opportunities through time, consistent with prudent decisions in asset allocation, as well as by additions to the endowment through generous contributions by Rotarians, their families, friends, and others. It is envisioned that this endowment will grant larger sums of money to favored organizations as the assets grow. It is anticipated that this endowment will remain for generations to come. The Permanent Endowment Fund will create opportunities to invest in a fund with long-term goals of growth and permanence, assisting especially local organizations.
The endowment will consider granting funds to organizations that are consistent with Rotary's 4-Way Test and that provide Service Above Self in their everyday support of people, the world, and any other avenues that Rotary has identified in aiding others. Institutions that meet these criteria shall be considered with the funds transferred and spent by the Service Fund of the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs, once the decision is made for disbursement.
