DESCRIPTION:The VFW Post 4051 Poppy Drive is coming up again this Veterans 
 Day and the VFW is looking for volunteers. The Veterans Day Buddy Poppy Pr
 ogram goes back to Armistice Day 1918 ending World War I and refers to the
  poem “In Flanders Field.”  Today the program reminds us of the servi
 ce of our military men and women in all America’s conflicts.  Donations
  given fund our post’s Veterans’ Relief Fund.  The Veterans’ Relief
  Fund supports local efforts to assist veterans and the organizations that
  support them. The Buddy Poppy Program occurs both for Veterans Day and Me
 morial Day.   Buddy Poppies will be distributed by VFW Post 4051 members 
 and any other volunteers at four locations on Saturday 11 November and Sun
 day 12 November during the Veterans Day weekend.  Locations are: Safeway 
 Stores near the corner of Galley Road and North Circle Drive and on Powers
  Blvd. near Constitution Wal Mart on Woodman Road near Powers Blvd\, and t
 he Wal Mart Neighborhood Market on 665 North Murray Blvd just North of Pla
 tt Avenue.  There will be a kickoff breakfast at the Village Inn located 
 at the corner of Academy and Palmer Park Blvds at 8:00 AM on Saturday 11 N
 ovember.  Poppy supply pickup on Sunday 12 November will be at the Villag
 e Inn parking lot.  Location assignments will be finalized at that time.
   The distribution at all locations will be approximately 9:00 AM to 3:00
  PM.  Plan to attend the breakfast and help distribute Buddy Poppies.  S
 hifts are from 9 am – 12 pm or 12 to 3 pm.  If you are interested in vo
