Mountain and Plains Rotary Youth Exchange

56 Rotary Clubs serving nearly 2/3's of Colorado

The most powerful force in the promotion of international understanding and peace is exposure to different cultures. The world becomes a smaller, friendlier place when we learn that all people - regardless of nationality - desire the same basic things: a safe, comfortable environment that allows for a rich and satisfying life for our children and ourselves. Youth Exchange provides thousands of young people with the opportunity to meet people from other lands and to experience their cultures. This plants the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding.

Subject: Hello Colorado Rotarians!

Hello Marilyn and Jan,

This is Evan Hanson in France.  My year has been incredible in many ways based off of negative and positive aspects that have changed who I am, who I will be, and where I happen to take my life.  I would however like to ask a favor of the two of you and, in due time, my rotary club as well.

I wish to speak in schools across Colorado on my exchange, the exchange program, Rotary, and even more specifically the impact that a teenager can have on the world.  This is a passion of mine: I enjoy speaking in front of large groups of people and wish to be as of much help as possible to the exchange program for all that it has given me.

I can not do this without your help and so I ask: use me however you please.

Thanks,
Evan Hanson
