Mark your calendar for Broomfield Rotary's "Honoring our Heroes" Event, on Saturday evening, September 10th at 6:00 pm.

This year's event will benefit : Meals-on-Wheels, A Precious Child and the Broomfield Rotary Charitable Foundation. 


The Meals- on- Wheels, program initiated in 1992, is locally funded and serving residents of the City and County of Broomfield. It is the only meal delivery service, serving homebound elderly in this community. This program does not receive any state or Federal Funding, and, depends on the generosity of the community for support. Senior Resources of Broomfield hold fund raisers throughout the year to provide financial assistance to low income seniors who cannot afford the daily meal fees. The Senior Resources of Broomfield delivers 100 fresh hot nutritious meals per day. Financial scholarship assistance is needed for the increase in the numbers, of low income residents, who are undergoing hard times during these difficult economic times.


A Precious Child, Inc. is a nonprofit organization; Broomfield based, serving the Denver North Metro area of Colorado. A Precious Child, Inc. is devoted to making a positive impact in the lives of disadvantaged and displaced children.  There are six main programs offered, Share-On Program, providing Clothing and other needs, Basics 4 Babies, providing diapers, baby clothing and other basics for baby needs. Fill-A-Backpack program provides backpacks and school supplies for children.  The Precious Gift program provides gifts to children at times in their lives, such as birthdays, and during holidays. The newest program is called Give Sports, providing new and gently used sports equipment to children who wouldn’t otherwise participate in a sport.


The Broomfield Evening Rotary Club’s membership and it Charitable Foundation, invites the citizens of Broomfield and surrounding communities to join in the participation of this second annual Honoring Our Heroes celebration. Join us in a Roast Pig and Bar-B-Que Dinner. Enjoy live entertainment, the Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra, and be songs by the Reveille 3.

Location of the event is at the Rotors of the Rockies, 11915 Airport  Way Located at a Hanger the old Jeffco airport.  All are included for your ticket price of $65 ($35 tax deductible donation). 


Raffle tickets will be available for $5 or 5 for $20.  Raffle Prizes include (1) a man's dress watch, (2) a ladies necklace with diamonds and sapphires, and (3) 4 nights at a Copper Mountain Condo.
