Speaker:
JC Tretter - Green Bay Packers, ACS and Cornell Graduate
Paul Muck interviewed JC with a series of questions. It was interesting to hear JC talk about the draft process, highlights of his NFL career, and weekly schedule.
Some of JC's highlights include:
- Selected by Green Bay with the second of three picks in the fourth round (No. 122 overall), the first player from Cornell to be drafted by the Packers since E Stan Intihar (1956, 18th round).
- Opened the first three preseason contests at center for Green Bay in 2014, but a knee injury sustained vs. Oakland (Aug. 22) would sideline him for the first half of the season. Went on to see limited action in the final eight regular-season games and both playoff contests.
- Saw time at both tackle spots and at LG in reserve duty in 2014.
- Spent the majority of his rookie campaign in 2013 on reserve/physically unable to perform after sustaining a significant ankle injury during the first practice of Organized Team Activities in the spring.
- Returned to practice on Nov. 19 and was activated to the 53-man roster leading up to Green Bay’s Week 15 contest at Dallas. Was a gameday inactive for the final three regular-season games and the team’s playoff contest in ’13
- His favorite position is center.
JC will be heading to California in a couple of weeks to train in the off season. He has one more year left on his contract. It was great to have JC visit today!
