Bravo to the #BillsMafia fans that donated to Baltimore Raven QB Lamar Jackson's favorite charity Blessings in a Backpack - whose mission is to end childhood hunger on the weekends. But did you know that the charity has a local connection?
The Rotary Club of Akron-Newstead has partnered with the Blessings organization since 2017 to run a weekend food backpack program at the Akron Elementary School. Approximately 50 children each year have benefitted from this support.
