Announcements:
  • Dues are due! Please send your dues to Paul M.
  • Raffle tickets are ready. Please pick up your tickets at Herm's. 
  • Africa has been declared polio free. This is a huge moment for the Polio Plus project. 
Program:
  • Auction: 
    • We have 2000 tickets to sell. Herm has the physical tickets. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Andy. 
    • We will be updating the Facebook and Instagram pages as we get more prizes. If you have not liked and followed these pages yet, give them a follow and share the posts so we can reach as large of an audience as possible! 
    • Mike and Bob will be selling tickets at the Batavia Farmer's Market tomorrow!
    • Kudos to Patty and Joe on designing and creating the tickets, tri-folds and displays. They look great!
  • Return to the Fire Hall: 
    • ​​​​​​​We planning on being back to the Fire Hall on September 17th.
  • Eckerson Ave Project: 
    • ​​​​​​​Keith is looking into Rotary grants for the project.
    • Herm and Andy will be attending the Town Board work session to go over some preliminary information. 
  • Grant Writing Seminar: 
    • This year the mandatory Grant Writing Seminar will be held over 3 Zoom sessions on October 3rd, October 17th and November 14th. We need two members to attend all three sessions. Patty has volunteered. Andy is checking his schedule. If he cannot attend, Leah will. 
  • Library Project: 
    • We are looking to get more information on our commitment to the ground covering project on the hill outside of the library. We may need to wait to plant until next year. 
    • We will be getting more information surrounding the specifics of the project and specific requirements by the town. 
  • Food Pantry 
    • We are looking to see what we can do to improve student access to the Food Pantry since it is no longer held at Akron School. 
    • Andy will be getting more information on what steps we can take to ensure that students in need have access to the Food Pantry and the steps we as a club can take to facilitate this access. 
    • Currently, Blessings in a Backpack is slated to continue this year.
