Rotary International is the world’s largest service and leadership development organization, with some 1.3 million members in 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries around the world. That is an amazing statistic given the global reach and service-oriented nature of this organization.

Rotary is a locally based organization where members come from and represent various businesses and professions in their own communities. As a community, service-minded business or professional person, you will see that belonging to Rotary, where outstanding representatives of the different vocations in your community come together, has countless benefits and affords opportunities to develop new connections and friendships with like-minded business and professional women and men. The Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club is a very vibrant and fun 100+ member club, with a wide range of successful business and professionals of every age. We are business owners, consultants, architects, accountants, lawyers, ministers, non-profit executives, retailers, IT professionals, and more. We live and work all around the metro area, but come together every Wednesday morning in Downtown Minneapolis for fellowship, great programs, food, and fun, where we hear interesting community and national speakers and learn more about each other and our world.

To be invited to join, you must be:

  • A recognized leader or emerging leader of your business or profession;
  • Willing to commit to regular meeting attendance and some service participation in our club’s “Avenues of Service” — Club Service, Community Service, International Service, New Generations, or Vocational Service; and
  • Desire to provide service to others and participate.

Rotary clubs provide:

  • Fellowship, networking and friendships with other recognized business and professional leaders in your community, region, and the world;
  • Opportunities to further develop your leadership skills;
  • Promotion of high ethical standards; and
  • An opportunity to “give back” to your community — both locally and around the world.

We invite and encourage you to visit our club (breakfasts are free for your first three visits) to find out what we are all about!

To inquire about visiting or joining the Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club, please contact Jewelie Grape, Vice President and Membership Co-Chair.

Because membership in Rotary is by invitation only from a current club member, completed membership application forms should be routed through the applicants sponsor member of City of Lakes and directed to both the Membership Committee and the City of Lakes Rotary Club Board for proper review and consideration.

We are enthusiastic about Rotary and our club and eager to answer any questions that you might have.
