Come try out the wonderful sport of curling with fellow Rotarians on April 15th at the Frogtown Curling Club at 3pm. We've reserved a sheet of ice at the Frogtown Club, where a member of the club will teach you the basics of this classic sport, and you'll be able to participate in your own game. The club will provide the necessary curling equipment. You'll need to show up in warm, comfortable clothes with a clean pair of shoes. It's important to bring a separate pair of comfortable shoes to avoid getting dust and rocks and debris on the ice.
The cost is $45 per person for a 3-hour reservation. You do not need to be on the ice for all three hours, though. They'll be opportunities for breaks and refreshments.
The club has a bring your own drinks and food policy, we'll be able to bring whatever we want in as far as beverages (beer, water, pop) and food (pizza, snacks, sandwiches).
Please RSVP to Brian Kimmes at brian.kimmes@gmail.com or his mobile at 651-357-6252. He is the club's unofficial curling liaison (and a member of the Frogtown Club) and is helping coordinate the outing, as well as host and help us learn to curl.
First stop, Frogtown. Next stop, the Olympics!!
