President Brenda welcomed everyone and gave the Land Acknowledgment
POD members assisted with opening exercises.
After dinner Membership Chair Kevin Smoke led the new member induction of Nic Freeman assisted by other club members
The Remembrance Day program was provided by Wilf Arndt who did a slide presentation.

Items of Interest
  1. President Brenda presented her kudos to Paul Durnan for representing our club at the Legion Remembrance Day service and laying the wreath and to Karen, Diandra, Margot and all who helped at the BIA Pet and Treat walk handing out candy.
  2. Nov. 30th is the Food4Kids breakfast at the Legion. If you are available to help please speak to Karen.
  3. The Food4Kids committee needs another person from our club. It currently has 3 from the Flamborough AM club and Karen from our club.
  4. Amber made a motion to the club to continue with Youth Exchange and presented the proposed budget. This was seconded by Karen and passed by those present. Amber, Sue and Garry  went to WDHS last week to talk about the short term and long term exchanges and to recruit students. Deadline for applications is Nov. 15/24.
  5. Jeff Kleven reminded everyone of the Paul Harris night at West Avenue Cider on Nov. 19/24 at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance per person. He also thanked Nathalia for the laptop donation and assistance from her and Wilf for wifi improvement.
  6. Karen read a thank you from the Waterdown BIA for assisting with the Pet and Treat walk for over 2000 children.
  7. Michelle & husband Dan as well as Margot have offered to put up the lights in Memorial park.
  8. Karen announced that a donation was made to the Village Theatre to allow 150 Grade 7 students to attend a performance and for snacks for the volunteers. $2000 was also donated to the Santa Claus Parade. We will be doing holiday cards again at the first meeting in December.
  9. Norm reminded everyone about the Socks and Skivvys drive supporting the Dundas Sunrise Rotary Club. He had a bin available to collect.
  10. Nick Brown encouraged everyone to login to the new wifi = RotaryPM. He said that Bucky will be walking in the Santa Claus parade on Nov. 30th and he asked for 2 volunteers to walk carrying the Ribfest banner. He also reminded everyone to answer his email about Ribfest shifts.

Norm celebrated his wife Barb's birthday and also seeing polar bears in Churchill, MB. He was unhappy to learn he needs cataract surgery.
Lena - celebrating 33rd wedding anniversary
Nick welcomed new member Nic and also enjoyed having Agus for dinner
Bob Bruce enjoyed watching Remembrance Day service and seeing Rob Flossman interview
Kim was thankful to have her son Connor with her for dinner and to sample his dessert
Karen is enjoying Irene's posts about her days of joy
Nic was happy to join the club
Wilf celebrated a birthday last week.
Michelle enjoyed a girls weekend in Meaford
Craig is thankful for Movember and focus on men's health. His prostate cancer has been non-detectable for 9 months. He encouraged men to get tested.
