President Amber Kosubovich opened the meeting with the Land Acknowledgement and POD members assisted with the 4-Way Test, invocation and table order duties.
Sue Collins introduced our guests and helped us practise greeting youth exchange student Augustina in Spanish ("Hola, Augus!"). She arrives in August and will be staying with Sue and Garry, Gerry and Lena Aggus and Wendy Hickey and Tom Gallagher, who graciously stepped up to host.

Migrants Matter Flamborough is serving at Boston Pizza on June 20, and a percentage of the sales that day will be donated to the group.
The next club social is Monday, June 24 at The Coop Wicked Chicken at 6 p.m. RSVP to Sue by Saturday.
Volunteers are needed to hand out snacks during exams at WDHS Thursday and Friday and June 24-25 at 7:50 a.m. Contact Darryl to sign up.
Jeff Kleven provided a Ribfest update: 74% of volunteer shifts have been filled - Rotarians are still needed for gate ambassador roles. Sign up here.
Treasurer Norm Read presented the 2024-2025 budget and made a motion to approve it. Seconded by Karen Matthews, approved unanimously.
The club enjoyed a "Year in Review" slide show created by Kim Piper.
Assistant DG Kathy Starodub led the club changeover, and presented incoming president Brenda Jefferies with her pin, and thanked outgoing president Amber for a successful year.

Program
Karen Matthews introduced this week's speaker, Telling Tales Executive Director Heather Kanabe. Heather outlined the many exciting new programs and features of the festival, which takes place at Royal Botanical Gardens in September. She noted the event has expanded to include more inclusive and interactive activities -- which requires more volunteers. She appealed to the club to consider committing to manning a booth at the event. Karen thanked Heather and presented her with our club's $2,000 donation for the 2024 festival.

Happy $ - Birthdays/Anniversaries/Good news
Norm Read has lots to celebrate: he and Barb enjoyed a trip to Portugal, and they have purchased a condo in Dundas. Norm is also celebrating his 31st club anniversary as well as a birthday.
Karen Matthews and Irene Carr were happy to share a couple of 100 Days of Happiness excursions: catching Trooper at the Sound of Music and horseback riding.
Jeff Kleven was happy that this year's Ride to Conquer Cancer went well, and thanked everyone who supported him.
Guest Heather Kanabe learned how to sail on the weekend.
ADG Kathy was happy to join us for dinner.
