President Amber Kosubovich opened the meeting with the Land Acknowledgement and POD members assisted with the 4-Way Test, invocation and table order duties.
Karen Matthews welcomed our guest.
President Amber thanked the POD & Jitterbug for organizing the meal and meeting. She also thanked Bob Allen for donating first aid masks to the clubhouse in the event that someone is choking or requires CPR.
Fundraising committee chair Margot Rae reminded members to sign up to volunteer at Ribfest and for volunteering to bag groceries at Fortinos.
Youth Services chair Darryl Kirkland reported that Shane Cashin attended Adventures in Citizenship in Ottawa.
Community Service committee chair Karen Matthews thanked all those who assisted in the Rotary Garden Court clean up on Saturday, June 1.
Diandra Camilleri, Karen Matthews, Irene Carr, Nick Brown, Jeff Kleven, Sue Collins and Margot Rae rolled up their sleeves on June 1 for clean-up day at Rotary Garden Court.
Program
Jeff Partridge introduced our guest speaker, Waterdown District High School (WDHS) Principal, Greg Clark. Greg's presentation was "WDHS, Who Are We?" He shared pictures and stories about the school's academics, athletics and community areas of focus. Greg talked about the importance of the students feeling a sense of belonging and of listening to their concerns and ideas. He is also very proud of their literacy program and the many staff who volunteer their time to help students who may be struggling in this area. Diandra Camilleri thanked Greg for his talk.

Craig Wood celebrated a birthday and that his cancer is non-detectable.

President Amber will be celebrating her son's 23rd birthday.
