President Amber Kosubovich opened the meeting with the Land Acknowledgement and POD members assisted with the 4-Way Test, invocation and table order duties.
President Amber provided the details of the Great Lakes Cleanup. it takes place Friday, April 19. members will meet up with Dundas and Flamborough AM Rotarians at the Air Force Club in Dundas at 4:30 p.m. to pick up bags and gloves and then clean up the canal area. Social time follows at the Air Force Club (Wings & Fries night). RSVP to Amber if you want to join us!
Garry Flood appealed to members for host families for this year's long-term exchange student, who arrives in August. Three families are needed to host for 3 months each. (One family is lined up, but three had to drop out due to allergies - the student cannot be in a home with cats or dogs). Please help get the word out!
Foundation chair Jeff Kleven showed a short video about the Rotary Foundation's work, and provided an update on the Dos Corrientes project, which received a grant two years ago through our club, and is a candidate for District grant this year.
Community Service chair Karen Matthews reminded members that the committee was hosting a meeting after the dinner meeting - anyone interested welcome to attend.
President Amber announced the theme for the coming Rotary year, "The Magic of Rotary", and handed out pins.
This week in RCW history: April 10, 1961 - The club donated $550 to Joseph Brant Hospital, $500 to St. Joseph's Hospital and $450 to Wentworth Lodge.

Norm Read introduced this week's speaker, Sherri Cully of Healthy Youth Network. Sherri explained the organization's "What's Your Path?" program and encouraged our members to sign up for their "Speaker's Bureau" which connects local professionals with teachers looking for presenters in the classroom.
Sue Collins thanked Sherri for her presentation.

Wilf Arndt was at the Rockton Dinner Theatre Friday; his curling team capped off the year by winning.

The District Conference is April 26-27 in Buffalo. "Peace, Hope and Rotary" brings together community leaders, Rotarians and businesses from across our district for a weekend of networking, learning and fellowship and a celebration of all that we do as Rotarians.
