Program
DG, Dave Alexander met with Board members before dinner for a brainstorming session.
President Brenda opened the meeting with the Land Acknowledgement and POD members assisted with opening exercises.
After dinner and announcements, Jeff Kleven formally introduced DG Dave Alexander from Welland. He reminded everyone of the District Conference coming up on April 5th at 9 am. The focus will be on partnerships in the community. Dave remembered visits to the Flamborough area as a child cross-country skiing and also studying about the limestone in the area in high school. He reviewed some history of the District and said it is important to archive our club's history. He recommended a documentary on Netflix called "Join or Die". He pointed out that Rotary's focus on ending Polio also promotes peace and builds infrastructure for fighting other diseases. He spoke about Rotary Action Groups for various interests. There are approximately 20 different groups and any Rotarian can join one or more.
President Brenda thanked Dave for coming and presented him with our club's donation to the Rotary Foundation.
