President Brenda welcomed everyone, gave the land acknowledgment and POD members assisted with opening exercises.
Our guest speaker was John Krpan, 3rd generation leader of the Krpan real estate group and owners of the majority of land on the east side of Clappison's corners. His presentation described the last 20 years that his group has been working on developing the area east of Highway 6 and north and south of Highway 5. Since there is less interest in the big box type of retail, they have worked on developing the
iconnect community. It is a walkable community where people live, work, shop and play. There are several businesses in the area that employ hundreds of people. The City of Hamilton has approved adding up to 4000 residential units. They have begun relocating some business, added a medical building with a second in the works, expanding the business park and the city will be adding a safety hub with police, fire and ambulance. The Ministry of Transportation will begin construction on the Highway 5 & 6 interchange in 2026.

President Brenda presented her kudos to Sue and Darryl for interviewing the student and submitting the RYLA application and to Steve for identifying a local family in need that our club was able to assist.
The District 7090 Conference will be held on April 5th in Niagara Falls, Canada.
Club Strategic Planning committee will meet on zoom March 11th and then with the club on March 24th.
Karen announced that the Food4Kids committee needs more members and if you are interested, please contact her for information.
Margot reminded everyone about Trivia Night at the Legion on March 28th. We need more teams and everyone is to donate a bottle of wine or $20 for her to buy wine for the prize.
Sue announced that the RYLA student is Jack Beckett who attends the University of Guelph in Sports Management.
Outbound Exchange Student, Sophie announced that she got her first choice and will be heading to Denmark in August for the long term youth exchange.
Wendy asked for assistance with rides for Sophie and Agus to attend the District Conference.
