Last Week's Meeting was FUN, and we had a guest speaker: Robin Casucci, from the Midland School.  Robin came to give us the highlights and progress of the Listening Program that we invested in last year.  The progress is amazing and the goal of getting each of the preschoolers accepting of the headphones, and sitting and eating, and progressing with grip strength etc, are being attained.  She is grateful, and they are expanding now to preschool and kindergarten as the children move up in their classes.  

Thanks to Robin for coming by and sharing the progress.

 

We had a prospective member/guest - 

Patrick Evers.  Patrick is not a stranger to Rotary as his Dad is part of the Summit? club.  He was glad he came and saw already the fruit of our labor with the Midland School Program.  We hope to see Patrick again.

 

We are concentrating on the good work that our Veteran's groups do with PTSD, Suicide Prevention, Homelessness and Caring for our combat troops now!!

 

PEDALS FOR PROGRESS:

We can't seem to find a date that is not the day prior to the motorcycle run.  Kip to decide.

 

FOOD COLLECTION:

NOVEMBER 16TH SHOPRITE

Food to be collected for Raritan Food Pantry, Learning Gate, Branchburg Schools, the Seniors and Whiton Hills and the Somerset County Food Bank.  This grouping was agreed upon at the Board Meeting.

 

Flags for Heroes:

Sam is finishing up with thank you notes, and a check for $500 to replace any worn or torn flags and will be delivered to Montgomery Rotary.
