HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Vocational service is at the core of Rotary, embedded in its history, present and future. It calls on us to foster high ethical standards in business, recognize the value of all occupations, and dignify our occupations as an opportunity to serve our communities.

PEDALS FOR PROGRESS

Next Saturday- Bicycles and Sewing Machines - official times 9-12 but if you can come at 8:30 to move the bikes we already have and start to dismantle them - please come - Contact Kip for any information.

MOTORCYCLE RUN

Next Sunday- Registration at 9 am at the college, 8 am at the airport to set up the tents and the tables/chairs. Kickstands up at 11 - festivities at the airport begin at noon.

PLEASE - raffle tickets turned in sold and with the money at the meeting on Wednesday.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Since last year we have been waiting for the list of school supplies needed for the Branchburg Students. Maria received the list on Thursday for this upcoming week. So, we purchased:

All the backpacks (14 courtesy of Ileen)

144 pencils

60 pens

30 pencil cases

30 sharpeners

25 packs of index cards

40 rulers

50 packs of crayons

50 packs of colored pencils

60 glue sticks

30 single subject notebooks

15 calculators

Walmart in Manville - gave us 10% off and a $40 gift card.

Staples at the circle gave us all last week sale prices.

The supplies will be delivered on Tuesday. The students are also in need of snacks and we have a mountain of fruit snacks that need to be moved from the storage unit to the superintendent's office.

YEARLY GALA TO SUPPORT

PEDIATRIC BRAIN CANCER RESEARCH

The Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation will once again hold its annual gala, Night of the Roses, on Saturday evening, September 23, 2023, at the Bridgewater Manor. Please join us for cocktails, dinner, dancing, and entertainment beginning at 6:30. A silent auction will offer guests an opportunity to bid on themed baskets donated by local businesses and individuals. All proceeds will be directed to pediatric brain cancer research and scholarships to local students who exemplify Meghan's life. Tickets are available online at https://mrbroseball.eventbrite.com. The cost is $125 per person.
