First to apologize for no newsletter the past 2 weeks - Just did not happen.

 

Maria D, the new Foundation Board President, requests all Board members and interested members to attend.  It will be a short meeting, Board only available for a 45 minute meeting.

 

 

 

Final numbers in - $5,176 dollars raised from the dinner - approx 1/2 and 1/2 club and Foundation.  Thanks to all that participated, worked, and sold ads.

124 dinners served!  

Special Thanks to Giuseppe will be in the form of a Paul Harris Fellow and a Medallion on a flag for the Flag for Heroes.

 

 

Flyers are being developed. Everyone should have received the sponsor flyer with the levels etc.  Maria A, Doug, and Mike are working on an Eventbrite site and QR code for attendees, not sponsors.

 

 

The committee is hard at work.  They are now adding a $2,000 scholarship in Jim McGrady's name.  The Papa Jim's Foundation will be donating that amount to us and we will be administrating the scholarship applications etc.

A very special thank you to the A-Team who provides them weekly - every week with the supplies.  The Church is working with local restaurants to get the "leftover" food to distribute.  Great Job everyone.

 

The 15 families in need continue with their weekly support.  Doug and Donna Bateman are the spearhead for this - and they are looking for occasional help.  Anyone who can help please let Doug know.

 

We are first of all really happy to see Louis back in the game.  He got a standing ovation his first week back!

 

Sam gave a report - the website is up - kind of - it is still the Montgomery site but has our URL.  They are working on making it our own and setting up a STRIPE account with the Foundation.  (Which by the way is good as ClubRunner will be adding STRIPE to their site this year, I know Maria D and I attended the Clubrunner Training last week.  I hope some of you did too)

 

The banners that are needed are out for Bids, the group is going to remeasure the area for number of flags etc.  Joe has the ability to "make" the anchors that go into the ground permanently.
