District Governor Robert Zeglarski - 2017-2018

Bob Zeglarski lives in Monroe Township with his wife of 45 years, Donna-Su, and her toy poodle Ziggy.  Bob and Donna-Su have two grown children, Lori and Bob, and two grandchildren, Colin and Avery. Bob lived most of his life in Roselle Park, where he served as the Board of Education’s School Business Administrator and the Borough’s Mayor. He still travels to his Rotary club meetings - Roselle-Roselle Park - each Thursday morning at 7:30 AM.

Aside from his family and Rotary, Bob enjoys golf and playing in community concert bands. If you’re lucky, he will forget to bring his saxophone to your meeting!

When asked, “Why do you want to be District Governor?” Bob answers, “'SERVICE ABOVE SELF.' I have no other motivation than service to the organization that I love and admire.  Being our District Governor is the predictable outgrowth of my years of community service and engagement, starting with membership in my high school Key Club, through my years in performing arts education, politics, education administration and Rotary."

Bob has a record of leadership spanning many years in many different situations, such as student leader of the high school band, Mayor of the Borough of Roselle Park, co-founder of the Roselle Park Council of the Arts, Xerox sales representative to the national headquarters of Nabisco and the National Football League, and Assistant Superintendent for Business with the Millburn Township Board of Education.

Aside from wearing a tuxedo, sporting a Rotary pin, singing loudly and smiling, Bob enjoys collaborating with fellow Rotarians to make community and global service happen.

He has not been just a member of Rotary for twenty years, but engaged in Rotary on the club and district levels in both leadership and support positions. On a club level, he served as club president three times, held directorships and committee chairmanships. On a district level, he served as Assistant Governor under eight Past District Governors from Joseph Scandariato to Mel Kevoe. For 2015-2016, he will serve as Lieutenant Governor for Governor Hal Daume. Bob also served as a Facilitator for PETS II and helped train PEs in the new Rotary web site.

Bob’s biggest hope is for your support during his Governorship in 2017-2018.
