FRIDAY NIGHTS IN SOMERVILLE - BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS!
FRIDAY NIGHT CRUSIN'
We are back in business friends, Friday nights in Somerville are back. We had a great night- 14 books of tickets sold - $830. The "buckets" of donations a little light at $176 - but the night was light. The Balloon Races I think took it's toll.
Next week and for the next 4 weeks - if we could get enough volunteers for 1-2 sites going - we could really make a huge dent in the #'s sold.
Remember - we are trying to make a $60,000 match- every dollar counts.
If you have sponsors for the Motorcycle run - we will start advertising for them.
Remember - you are selling for Veteran Suicide Prevention programs, and Veteran Homelessness programs, not for the prize on the ticket!
SUNDAY PANTRY
This week our Sunday Pantry in Bound Brook saw 126 Families come through for a total of 420 people served.
While you are out shopping, they are always in need of personal products, they are not covered by the Food Stamp programs. Pick up an extra bottle of shampoo or conditioner. A box of sanitary products for women. Toothpaste, soap, laundry soap etc. It would add less than $5 to your food bill and make a difference. All you have to do is think about it while you are shopping.
Consider going on Sunday to help out - talk to Joe or Billy - the summer seems to be light on volunteers at the church.
