COOKING FOR SHIP
Last week instead of a meeting - we resurrected our cooking for SHIP.
It was a pared down menu - to get our feet wet again. But we sent 25 trays of food and we were in and out in record time. Amazing when you are not boiling all that pasta!!
SHIP put out the call to Kip and may others, and it is apparent that we all heard and answered. Maria and Billy both heard it announced in their parishes. Now that we all remember how to do this - maybe we can get this back on the calendar for a quarterly event again?
It is a fun morning.
THIS WEEKS MEETING IS A BUSINESS MEETING.
BOTH TREASURERS WILL BE PRESENT TO GIVE A REPORT AND AN UPDATE.
This is NOT a meeting for guests please.
NEXT WEDNESDAY IS BUSY!
First up is unloading the trailer on Tuesday night at 8 pm at the North Branch Reformed Church to set up for Wednesday morning.
We will be packing Thanksgiving bags - 100 of them - to be distributed to those in need courtesy of the Branchburg Rotary.
The meeting will begin promptly at 7 am - the bags will be packed - then placed in boxes and reloaded back into the trailer. Again - all of this has to be done by 8:15- they start at the church at 8:30.
Please - all hands-on deck.
Next on the Calendar for that day is our Veteran's Support Dinner - we will be meeting at The Rail at 6 pm to join with our Veteran's groups to celebrate another great year. Rotarians are free to join - however, I STILL NEED A YES OR NO FROM MOST OF YOU.
I will review my list on Wednesday to be sure I have a correct list.
SCAVENGER HUNT
Diane has a fun event for us. We need to find her about 50 of these boxes before the meeting on the 16th!!
