Final Business of the Year- Club Board Meeting on 12/29/23
COLOMBIA PROJECT
1- Discussion of the Trip Maria A and Elmer are taking to Colombia and the financing.
Three Projects are anticipated to be addressed:
    a: A Global Grant that is to aid the victims of trafficking ages 5-24  the goal is - Empowerment - They were short $1,000 to completely fund the grant. (Maternal and Child Health, and Basic Education and Literacy)
   b: Deaf Workshop - not for hearing aids for but tools for their workshop so that they can be productive members of society(economic and community development)
  c: Tree planting for areas devastated by the war - cost $7 per tree and 100 trees are anticpated to be planted (water and sanitation, economic and community development)
  d: Post op care for the Operation Smile recipients - We are not funding this our Rotoract Club is - they fundraise for this all year. ( Maternal and Child Health)

Giuseppe has graciously "volunteered" to help us again this year.
Cost will be the same $20 per adult $10 per child under 10.
Same seatings and take out available -

YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE ROSE PARADE TODAY
Each year the club sends $100 to the Rose Parade Float Committee of RI. This year we won the Leishman Public Spirit award:  Most outstanding floral presentation from a non-commercial participant.  The title of the float:   CLEAN WATER - THE MUSIC OF LIFE 
 
They did a great job and we were in 41 million homes this morning!!
