Maria Donegan, was born and raised in New York City.  She graduated from the College of New Rochelle and from Fordham University with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Social Work.
 
She moved to New Jersey in 1987 and to Branchburg in 1990.  Since coming to New Jersey, she worked as a clinical social worker at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in the trauma unit.
From there she  moved on to work at North Hunterdon High School where she was social worker on the Child Study Team.  For several years while working at North Hunterdon, she worked part time at Raritan Health and Extended Care where she did some counseling with the residents and some family members.
 
She enjoys traveling and have traveled to several different countries.  She also enjoys handy work around the house and fixing things.  She is pretty handy and she is thankful to her father who taught her when she was young by making her help him.
 
Her passion is helping others, which convinced to join the Rotary whose Moto is "Service Above Self".
