It was a great pleasure to witness "Rotary Club NY Queens's 3rd annual Installation event on Tuesday afternoon. Many local and state dignatiries as well as Nepalese community leaders took part in this annual changing of the guard where the 2018-2019 Officers and Board are recognized and thanked for their efforts and they installed the 2019-2020 Officers. The Rotary club of Branchburg helped to charter this club 3 years ago.

Outgoing President Mohan Gyawali recognized members for their outstanding service during the past year. Incoming President Nabaraj KC was installed by the Past District Governor Wendy Walsh. President Nabaraj KC addressed the event and identified his goals and aspirations for his club.

PASSION FOR SERVICE - HELPING YOUTH IN NEPAL

Mr. Kamal Prasad Bhatta was recognized for his campaing to recycle and help students in Nepal with the money he received from recycled materials. His effort helped students in his home town Gorkha district. The club will be also starting a new Rotary Community Corp where members can do more community service projects. Congratulations to Mr. Bhatta for his effort and commitment.
We are also collaborating to take 25 Rotarians to visit Nepal this October 2019 in a Humanitarian mission. Also discussion has started to start a joint new project to bring a Cancer screening Mobile Bus to Nepal in early January. We already have a commitment of $100,000 from Rotary club of Chitwan and $20,000 from the Rotary Districts 3292 Nepal, Rotary district 7255, New York is considering to help with this project and Rotary district 7475 New Jersey and RC Branchburg will participate with $27,250 donation and Rotary Club of Queens NY with $7500 donation in this worthwhile humanitarian project.
