Hard questions, Connection, Purpose, and Hope
Jun. 21, 2023
We all have questions, but are we willing to ask hard questions to get the most out of life? What happens when we die? Is death the final chapter? Is there such a thing as eternal life? One thing I know, to stay connected in this life, relationships matter. Living with a purpose gives deeper meaning to life. When hope flourishes our lives become full of anticipation and excitement. Rev. Richard Braun joins us Wednesday, June 21 to talk about these questions; his newly released book, Hard Questions: About Life, Death, and Afterlife; and more. Rev. Braun is a mid-west farm boy, one of eight children. He grew up with stability and connectedness as cornerstones of his family and community. He is a small-group leader, preacher and teacher. He is an avid walker, reader, and amateur photographer. While working as a machinist, he earned a BSME. He started a software development company in his thirties. Twenty-five years later he was called into Lutheran ministry and received his M.Div. Rev. Braun lives with his wife of 55 years, has two adult children, and two grandchildren. He is now retired. "I have not arrived; I don't believe we ever reach perfection; humans are imperfect, but we're always stretching for that goal in the life to come." ~Rev. Richard Braun |
