We are disappointed to report that Todd was sent to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Sunday and is expecting to be transferred to Hamilton General Hospital later today (Tuesday).  Please continue to keep him in your thoughts.

Stoney Creek Chamber Business After Five Networking Event Thursday April 3, 2025

Our membership committee is planning an excellent evening at Empowerment Squared (East) 26 Arrowsmith Road Hamilton, ON L8E 4H8, Canada. We are cancelling our morning meeting on April 4th and encourage all members to attend. Details to come
 
District Conference  - April 5th

Today's Meeting
Training - Rotary's Unique Selling Proposition
 
Our President Elect Tom Peddle spent some time today reminding our members of the training tools available to ALL of our members.  Starting with the Learning Center and the interactive Learning Programs available.
 
Rotary is a vast, complex, international, voluntary organization with multiple programs and services that provide humanitarian support and promote world peace in our own neighbourhoods, across our country and around the globe. 
 
  • The greater knowledge and understanding Rotarians have of the operation and organization of Rotary, the more productive and effective our efforts become.
  • The better skilled our Rotary leaders are in working within a volunteer organization, the more efficient and effective our district and clubs become.
  • The more knowledgeable Rotarians are of Rotary programs and accomplishments, the greater our sense of achievement and pride in the work we do; and the better our ability to attract new members. 
Rotary is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and diverse array of training opportunities that enable Rotarians to gain the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to maximize their effectiveness and personal satisfaction as Rotarians.
 
The Rotary Learning Center holds links to a wide variety of training sessions. It includes E-learning, Course Catalogs, Webinars, Classroom Sessions and Learning Plans. New topics are being added all the time.
Important:  In order to access to access the Learning Center and many of the other aspects of the Rotary International website, you must have a My Rotary account. If you do not have an account already, you can create one using your name and the e-mail address used in your Rotary Profile.  Click here to register.
 
To access the Learning Center go to rotary.org/learn.  If you have not already signed in you will see the Sign In screen.  After you have logged in you will see the following screen:
 
 
There are a lot of items in the Rotary Learning Center.  To begin we suggest starting by entering a topic of interest in the Search area. We also suggest clicking on one of the "View" buttons within one of the topics of interest. This will direct you to a list of possible courses.

Club Secretary Wanted

As club secretary you help your club run smoothly and effectively. You also monitor club trends to help identify strengths and areas for improvement, and share this information with club and district leaders.

What you do

  • Maintain membership records: . Your club invoice is based on the number of members in Rotary's database for your club as of 1 July and 1 January. Rotary International sends the club invoice by email and mail.
  • Maintain minutes of club, board, and committee meetings
  • Work with incoming secretary to ensure smooth transition

How to prepare

  • Take online courses for club secretary in the
  • Attend district training assembly
  • Work with our outgoing secretary
