Grape Picking to support Food for Life

Thank you to Norbert & Liz for hosting (and the great ice-cream treats!) and to all Rotarians, family & friends who could help harvest grapes for Food for Life.  A great “hands-on” Rotary project.
 
New Member Packages - Ross shared that the Membership committee has been working on customized New Member Packages to hand out and assist New Members in getting better acquainted with Rotary International and well as the specifics of our Club.  We look forward to the final presentation.
 
Tony Hauth - We are sadded to share Honorary Member passed away July 24th
 
 
Wednesday Tai Chi - Doug has invited anyone to join him and Anna on Wednesday evenings (7:00 - 8:30). 
Tai Chi helps you master physical attributes such as balance, flexibility and strength as well as mental and emotional well being.

Stoney Creek Santa Claus Parade - December 6th 
This is a club “all hands on deck” event - we need to provide 8 Parade marshalls to help the bands, floats and organizations line up as well as members to create and ride on the float.  Our mascot will be making his debut

The Purse Project Network 
 
Martina shared the annual Purse Project Network event coming up for the month of November whereby we fill a purse with essential items and they are gifted to vulnerable women at Christmas.
Additionally we announced a wonderful opportunity to partner with our Corporate member, Meridian Credit Union, whereby we can apply for a $1000 grant to purchase 50 purses and assist for one hour in November filling them at our Stoney Creek Meridian location.  The contents of these purses will be donated by another partner of Meridian.
Full details and dates will be forthcoming.
