Smilezone Foundation is a non-profit organization that transforms, renovates, and enhances pediatric health care settings across Canada at no charge to the facilities creating ‘Smilezones’ for the children and families utilizing the spaces for medical appointments and treatments. Renovations and transformations include, but are not limited to, new paint, unique and empowering murals, video games/gamification, sensory equipment, storage, cabinetry, etc. based on the needs of each individual facility – no two ‘Smilezones’ are the same. ‘Smilezones’ can transform patient care rooms, treatment rooms such as pediatric chemotherapy rooms, waiting rooms, exercise and activity rooms, etc. and can be installed in any hospital, rehabilitation centre, autism centre, or mental health facility.
