Rotary Club of Hamilton Stoney Creek is Hands-on in the Community!

The Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization offering free services for individuals and families affected by cancer, living in the greater region of Hamilton and surrounding communities.

The Rotary Club of Hamilton Stoney Creek has been a long-time supporter of this vital service and this year we leveraged our access to a Rotary 7090 District Grant that allowed us to help supply CAP with some much-needed essentials!

Sixteen members of The Rotary Club of Hamilton Stoney Creek & their wonderful families came together to unload and stock the shelves at C.A.P. as part of our successful District Grant.

Thank you Rotarian Tina Blatchford for spearheading this initiative with the 7090 District and organizing this "hands-on" project.

We enjoyed an introduction by Manager Fund Director, Dusty Vacon, followed by dividing into two teams for re-stocking their shelves with the donations our District Grant funds provided.
We also received an extensive tour of their facilities and learned more about the invaluable services they provide to cancer patients.

The Cancer Assistance Program (CAP)  is always in need of funding, volunteers and donations.  Please check out their website and consider getting involved!

Rotary is a wonderful way to get out into the community and help organizations like CAP!  We are always looking for new members and volunteers.  For more information or to open a conversation please email us at membership@RotaryHSC.org
