Last Saturday was our last day of service for 2022 as we completed our 97th consecutive week of serving at Gore Park .  It was somewhat cool with light breeze coming from the Southwest.  The rain stopped while we were serving and the atmosphere was festive with many happy faces.  As we celebrated the end of 2022 and welcome 2023, we are very grateful to all our volunteers, partners and donors for making the lives of many others a little better.  THANK YOU!

Our sincere thanks to our friends from Sew on Fire for the donation care packages and for coming to help us distribute this wonderful year end gift!

You don’t have to be perfect to help people.  All you have to be is real” an inspiring quote from Trent Shelton.

A senior guest handed me a belated Christmas card to share with all the volunteers and donors.  I had it translated as follows:

Hello!
As Christmas is approaching, we wish you a very merry Christmas!
At the same time we would like to wish all volunteer- brothers and sisters Merry Christmas, too.
Time flies, another year has passed. Looking back, we thank you for your dedication of bringing food, drink and warmth to those in needs, rain or shine, snow and wind. Thank you once again to the Canadian volunteers for your contributions. Learn from you! Salute to you! Thank you!
