Workforce Development at Sierra College

As an Associate Dean in Liberal Arts,Lynn supervises traditional transfer departments as well as CTE departments. For the past 1 ½ years she has  managed the Strong Workforce Initiative, which is a $200 million state-wide initiative to meet growing and changing labor market needs through funding CTE programs at the community college level. Sierra College is growing programs, listening to industry needs, and developing new programs with the Strong Workforce funds and this is enabling the college to change the landscape of career education at Sierra College, preparing students for success both on the campus and within their career.  This is the focus of Lynn's presentation.
