SUPER FOOD DRIVE AND DISTRIBUTION

Working with Placer Food Bank, our club helped in the collection and distribution of food and clothing to less fortunate people of Lincoln.  At our meeting on July 17, members brought in non-perishable food to fill one barrel (194 pounds) - thank you members.

On July 19, we helped to set up and conduct the food and clothing distribution at Lincoln Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist Church on 5th Street.  Thanks to Bayside Church, a truckload of children's clothing was provided for distribution.  Placer Food Bank had a truckload of perishable and non-perishable food, some of which had been collected at Lincoln businesses.

The drive served 130 families and 482 individuals. There were 35 volunteers; 10 were Rotarians.Over 6,000 pounds of food was distributed. Clothing was provided to 67 families.
