Thanks to clubmember Carol Ferguson for making the contact, we now have a place to send personal checks to help with disaster relief in Paradise, CA. She received a note from the Chico Rotary Club Administrator with words from Chico Club President Leanne Chrisman.
"Our Paradise Club neighbors up the hill have experienced tremendous losses: over 6400 homes destroyed! We have some members of our club who are still evacuated and four have lost their homes. I have visited several of the shelters and they seem to be in pretty good supply at this time. Monetary donations will be the ticket as these folks begin the recovery period. The Paradise Rotary Club will be accepting donations to be used to assist people in the short and long term via The Paradise Rotary Foundation. Checks can be mailed to the Paradise Rotary Foundation, c/o Scheer Memorial Chapel, 2410 Foothill Blvd, Oroville, CA 95966."
Members of the Rotary Club of Doylestown and visitors to this site are welcome to send a personal note of encouragement along with any monies sent. The sentiments may mean as much, if not more, than anything we can possibly do to help.
