COO of the PA Biotechnology Center, Lou Kassa, brought our dinner-going Rotarians up-to-date about the best little business incubator in the country. The center is located next to the Doylestown Airport and houses about 30 growing companies, with a total of over 300 employees.  They also offer a Master's Program in Biomedical Science and teach advanced Chemistry courses for high school students.
We learned that the Biotech Center has 8 scientists with FDA-approved drugs on the market and graduating companies from the "incubator" have brought stock market offerings of $1.8 billion in the last 12 years. A $10 million expansion is in the works!
