Congressman Fitzpatrick presented at our Sunrise Meeting on March 27th.  Here he receives our Mercer Rotary Tile as a thank you!

Fitzpatrick spoke at the Rotary Club of Doylestown’s Tuesday morning meeting to discuss legislative priorities effecting Bucks County and the country.  He addressed activities addressing the opioid epidemic, cyber bullying, cost of health care and school safety.  He explained that as part of the House's Bipartisan Heroin Task Force, they have passed measures that authorized federal funding to assist state and local governments with addiction prevention, recovery and law enforcement, and research and treatment.

Fitzpatrick who is Vice Chairman of the task force said,  “Opioid addiction and abuse is nothing short of an epidemic.  From the toll it takes on our communities and families, to the strain on local leaders and law enforcement, this crisis is too important to let partisan politics get in the way of solutions.”
