Our club awards three college scholarships every year, with one winner from each CB High School. The scholarships are $4000 each, given out at the rate of $1000 per year. Adding up the incoming Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, we have 12 scholars every year, who contact us about their experience, hopes and dreams. This year we had 5 students visit our Sunrise Meeting.
Six students were able to return for our evening meeting. The twelfth student was actually a male - yes, we do select young men to receive this scholarship. The strong showing of young women as winners is an anomaly and not representative of previous years.

Our July 31st Sunrise meeting featured speaker Nicole Kelliher, who was introduced by Chris Nardo. Nicole told us about the Credit Counseling Center, which few of us had heard about. The Credit Counseling Center is a nonprofit community-based organization. For the last 22 years, their certified counselors have been helping thousands of people pay off debt, create a budget, buy their first home and gain a lifetime of financial freedom.Their programs are designed to help consumers develop lifelong money management skills, specializing in financial problem solving, consumer credit, debt management & more. The CCC's mission is to provide the highest-quality services to families and individuals in need of a financial education.  If you know someone who heeds these FREE services, call their office on Weldon Drive, 215-348-8003.
