7. Announcements:

1.  Tour de Lac –Welcome Home Party – Sept 26th Mark this date on your calendar; this will be a joint casual event with the Maycourt Club. We will hear the stories of those who took part in the bike trek, see some pictures have some excellent fellowship besides. The location is the Dalhousie Yacht Club. More details will follow.

2.  Bingo updates Sheila – Thank-you to those who volunteered for this Friday.

3. There will be no meeting this coming Monday, Sept. 5th, because of Labour Day.  

4. End of summer BBQ at The Dalhousie Yacht club was wonderful time with good fellowship, and a chance to meet each others families.

9. Birthdays:  Two birthdays to celebrate, Dan Toppari (Aug 27) and Cathy Henry (Aug 19), both were prompted fined $10.00.

10. 50/50 Draw: $2/ticket - Find one of two Jokers. Ernesto Carrillo won the ticket draw but unfortunately chose a 2 of Clubs.

12. Introduction of Guest Speaker by Willie Heidbuechel: Our guest speaker this week was our District Governor John Heise. John became a Rotarian in 1982 and is a three time Paul Harris Fellow. He has been a president twice, assistant governor twice, and a Youth Exchange Chair. Outside of Rotary John has been an administrator, primary school principal, secondary school principal and has been the chair of the school board for over 10 years. He is currently involved with the developmentally disabled. John has also been married for over 41 years to Sandy Heise.
