Sergeant at Arms-Dan Toppari

  • Jean Holbert-Leighton- happy that her daughter, Lauren, has three tremendous career making decisions to chose from- shows that hard work and great work ethic will always be rewarded;
  • Dan Toppari-- had a great Bingo and enjoyed Cat's Caboose after the event;
  • Laeticia De Witt- reported on Bob's and her trip to Mexico- welcomed home by all;
  • Cathy Henry- reported that Ed Telenko was now "an international artist' as one of his paintings is now hanging at her villa in Jamaica;
  • John Teibert- has a great time at The Rotary Lakeshore Trivia night- a lot of fun and good fundraiser.

Announcements:

Jason- club assembly will be held on Monday, March 23rd at Dom's.

            5:30- Fellowship,    6:30 -Dinner

 

Cathy- met with Debi Wiebe at The Standard- the Rotary insert next month into the paper will  cost each of the 4 city clubs $250.00- The Standard will cover the rest of the cost.

 

Ron- spoke about the need to begin soliciting donations for the auction for the May 2nd gala and to ask guests to attend. It is imperative that we get as much information in early to facilitate the printing of the booklets for each attendee .The cut off date will be April 28th- any items after that date will be gratefully received but not be printed in the catalogue. He also broke down the results of 2007 that showed what percentage of profit came from donation gift, cash and certificates.

 

Guest speaker- Paul Monaghan

Presented the membership survey results- very interesting discussion followed with Laeticia thanking Paul and his committee for doing such a fine job. There are hard copies of the results available to each club member.
