Guests and Visiting Rotarians: John D'ambrosio welcomed Dr. David Henry, husband of member Cathy, George Darte, and Dr. Don Cyr, our guest speaker.

 

Sergeant-At-Arms: Matt Taylor started with two happy dollars for his most recent trip to Central America. He and georgette not only did their "usual" dental work but took a bit of a vacation afterwards including a 4 kilometre "zip line" experience in the Costa Rican rainforest. Jean Holbert Leighton happy to have her daughter home and employed by the NRP. Cathy Henry pleased to tell us about the May Court Club's $10,000 donation to the Cardiac Cath Lab. debbie garneau just happy. John Klassen for permission to go away for three days. Jason happy for the great weather to start the golf season. John D'Ambrosio, Don Hetherington and George darte all happy about something and John teibert pleased to see Matt back.

 

Announcements : June reminded us of the Night of a Thousand dinners in support of Landmine removal.

 

June also reminded us of the Interclub Monday April 28 at Queenston Heights.

 

June also encouraged everyone to keep selling tickets and bringing donated items for auction. Tickets through jean and donated items to Jim Hooper.

 

June let us know that Don beard may have obtained two extra bingo nights per month. Friday nights that would provide us with needed extra income.

 

Laetitia made an announcement for the literacy program and read a thank you note from the Folk Arts group for books received.

 

June read a letter from Rick Dykstra complimenting us on the Cath Lab initiative.

 

Roseanne Morissette presented June a cheque for $50,000 from Performance Cars as their first installment on their $250,000 committment to the Hospital Cath lab fund raiser.

 

New member Induction: Ed Telenko introduced Kris Akili as our newest member. Cathy Henry as her sponsor gave a brief background bio as she has known Kris personnally and through Mainstream. Welcome, Kris!
