SERGEANT-AT-ARMS

George Fitzpatrick serving as Sergeant-at-Arms.

George Fitzpatrick is proud of his wife Valerie involvement from the beginning with Hospice Niagara and with all her hard work. The Hospice Niagara building will open late this spring.

John Klassen  is glad his wife Janice's ability to smell is better than his. She was able to find and dispose of the dead mouse.

Shelia Bristo said there was a lots of deep white powder snow in B.C. which made for great skiing.

Peter Snodgrass was glad to be driving with six women.

Don Hetherington was asked by George Fitzpatrick to tell us a joke and Don said the joke is standing in front of him. 

 
Jim Hooper and Family had a great time in Mexico but Jim came back with a cold and a great tan.

Bob Mckay Thanked Julio for doing some errands and now his Tax return. 

Jason Pollock's Son's Basketball team was in the finals and their opponents had the biggest player in the league and Jason's son was assigned to guard him. His son's team lost but Jason's son was congratulated by his large opponent it was the best defence he had ever endured.

Bob McBride is on another holiday in Flordia                                                                  

Matt Taylor and the whole Family enjoyed skiing at Mount Tremblant.                                      

Dan Toppari  Is glad to be back from Holidays.  


ANNOUNCEMENTS


Bob Gosselin Thanked our club for our assistance with a spectacular exhibit at the St. Catharines Museum featuring the Victoria Cross. The Victoria Cross is the highest award for bravery in the British Empire.


Diamond Gala info:  Julio Batres thanked Ed Telenko for his help printing the invitations and personalized invitations are available on the website.  300 tickets need to be sold and we need donations for the auction, Letters asking for a donation have been sent out. Members who have their list please call for donations. Invite your friends this is our club's major fundraiser of the year.  Friday morning meetings contact Julio Batres.


Sexual Harassment Seminar at Brock University  Matt Taylor and Don Hetherington will be attending and asked other member to attend.


GSE Team from District 9200  -The 4 St Catharines Club were not selected this year as hosts.


Joint Meeting April 11 2007 - Jason Pollock announced Local Rotary Clubs will meet 12:00 at the Quality Inn Parkway  Tickets are $20.00 and will not be sold at the door , the guest speaker is the U.S. Consulate General.


RYLA and Slapshot Leadership Programs Tom Schulz announced Slapshot is designed for 16 to 18 years old. It will take place in Ancaster  April 20 - 22 2007.  RYLA is for young adults who must be 19 - 25 years of age with proven leadership potential. Names must be submitted by April 15.2007. 


Norris Brown suggested we all send George Fitzpatrick a birthday card since George requested Rick not to send him any more birthday cards.


50/50 DRAW

Jim Howes had the winning ticket, but was unlucky in drawing 8 of Clubs. Next week's pot will be about $350.00.
