Night: Dan reminded members about the Iron Chef Night being held March 28 at Johnny Rocco’s. Three couples are attending from our club.

Five Club Annual Luncheon, April 3rd:
will begin at 11:30 with networking, lunch at noon sharp at the Hilton Garden Inn at Glendale and the QEW. The theme is the Bicentennial for the War of 1812 and is being hosted by NOTL. Ron Dale of Parks Canada will be speaking. Pre-registration is required. If you didn’t register today please talk to Ron or Tom.

INTRODUCTION OF GUEST SPEAKER, Elizabeth Kovacs Rotary e-club of SOWNY
 

Roseanne introduced Liz Kovacs, a member of the Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake

Lewi
ston and President of the e-club of SOWNY. Liz has been a Rotarian for three years
and in her working life, she is a National Account Manager, Specialized Logistics
Services. Roseanne met Liz at District Council.

The e-club of SOWNY is the first e-club in District 7090. This e-club is classified as a

hybrid e-club. There are 44 e-clubs internationally.

Currently the e-club has 300 friends, but not the 25 members needed to be a chartered

club.

Amy Ball, who is the Vice-President of the e-club, is working on starting an e-club in

Kurdistan.

Meetings of the e-club are held through Go to Meetings. Wonderful webinars are

availabl
e to all Rotarians, currently free of charge.

The e-club is an excellent way to do a make-up and to learn something worthwhile about

Rotary at the same time!

Rotary e-club members attend three online meetings a month and must attend a regular

club meeting in their area on the fourth week. Members are also encouraged to get
involved in local club efforts.

Membership is $30 a month.
