IF we do not have confirmed 25 people then we have to cancel and move back here to the Club as other venues called are the exact same price with not half the menu as offered by the DYC.We must call by Thursday to let them know if we’re canceling. At this meeting - we’ll be inducting our four newest members- Dr. David Henry, Mrs. Sandra Rothman, Mrs. Monika Ovsonka and Mr. Shane Moon. John Teibert has graciously agreed to do the honours.
-we’ll also be discussing our By laws and Constituion changes that have been directed from RI- thank you to John Teibert and Frank Parkhouse for putting this together. As per our by laws- John has already sent out the changes by Club Runner, to each member to read and have for discussion and vote on the 24th.

Polio Plus Piggy - Cathy

Please continue to support our Miss Piggy as we get closer to our joint luncheon- Arie has very generously provided media coverage for this event on Snap etcThe Downtown club is formulating a huge “photo op” cheque to be given to Rotary Foundation- through Karen Oakes- it will announce the amounts already given by the 3 clubs plus whatever else we get through  our individual initiatives.

District Webinar - Strategic Plan - 2014-2015 - Cathy

I attended, on line, the District Webinar on Thursday at 7:30 AM- There were four other presidents on line plus Rick Sterne- our past DG. Interesting dialogue from the District on different club ideas of the future of District. I mentioned our data base that has been formed this year- they were quite interested- thank you Arie for this initiative.

Bingo - John Teibert – Next bingo is Saturday, March 29th.  Please let John if you would like to volunteer and join in the fun

Explore Niagara -  Mike Gionet – We need more sponsors for this great event!  Mark has agreed to be the official photographer for that day, thanks Mark!  Also, if you would like to volunteer for this event please let Mike know.  Prize table- please start bringing in prizes for the table and let us know who has donated them so that they can be listed on the sponsor sheet. Sponsors- a huge thank you to all sponsors- we’re almost there – but need 6 more. If anyone’s company would like to advertise for this event- the cost is $250.00.
A huge thank you to Lynn for organizing up the goody bags- they’re twice the size as last year and cheaper

Joint 3 club President’s meetingCathy
The Lakeshore Club generously donated $1,000.00 for TreesThatFeed.  Wow! That will buy a lot of trees!  Thank you!

The joint luncheon was discussed - we need to get a head count very quickly- so please register as soon as possible. The agenda was discussed and finalized. Our DG, Kevin Crouse, his wife, Karen Oakes and her husband and members of the World Community Service Committee will also be attending. I’ve heard from our guest speaker- he is still in Syria and the news is not good. Ironically, the first Rotary club in Syria was founded in Alleppo where all the bombing and killings have been taking place recently
The Head Hands Heart awards will not be handed out at this luncheon- due to time restrictions- but will be awarded at our regular Monday meeting. On May 12th
RibFest was also discussed- the forms will be sent out shortly for registration and I have asked for the same spot as last year.
