Henry Becker, George Darte, and Mike Peteroff  from the St. Catharines Downtown Club; Kathy Coomb, mother of the Rotary Medalist; Jean Stewart, a potential new member; and Mr. Don Fraser
 
SERGEANT AT ARMS

George Fitzpatrick, serving as Sergeant-at-Arms, contributed  his own happy dollar for sitting beside Don Fraser, and accepted other happy dollars from: 
Cathy Henry - happy to be spending the weekend with her grandchildren and catching fireflies;
George Darte - happy our singing of the anthem is worse than the Downtown Club;
Mike Peteroff - happy recognizing the youth of today;
Norris Brown - happy to see George Darte in shorts;
Bob McKay - happy to see a non-American player win the US Open and happy to appreciate the rivalry between DM and Sir Winston Highschools;
Jean Holbert-Leighton - had a tremendous time with her daughter on a European trip; Henry Becker - happy to see George Darte and Heather sitting at the same table;
Beth Cockcroft - happy for the first day of summer;
Don Fraser - happy to be at this meeting;
Matt Taylor - happy to see Fraser Stewart's (a long time past president) daughter announcing on CBC news;
John D'Ambrosio - happy to celebrate Father's Day and a new son in law;

PRESIDENT'S ANNOUNCEMENTS

John Teibert and Dan Toppari are at the Rotary International Conference in Montreal and will be back next week.

Received a great gift from the Board at the meeting last week - a photo album.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS

Cathy Henry read a thank you letter from Melody Cunningham for the get well fruit basket sent to her husband Jim;

Greg McDonald - needs three people for Bingo on Saturday- June, Bob and Beth will assist.

Sheila Bristo - has raffle tickets for the Hospice 5 Car Draw.

Arie Vrugteveen - has the pledge sheets for the Dragon Boat race on July 24th.

Paul Massuet - spoke of printing out more hard copies of the club history and thanked Don Beard and Ed Telenko for all their hard work.

Tom Schulz - spoke of RYLA. It was a great success and suggested to the present Rotary Medalists to think about the program.

EARLY LEAVERS

George Fitzpatrick and Don Fraser expressed their regrets to President Paul and to John D'Ambrosio and took early leave. 
  
ROTARY MEDALIST AWARDS 

John D'Ambrosio, as Emcee, spoke of the history of the Rotary Medals and then asked each school to come to the podium. Award medalist recipients include: 

Thorold Secondary School: Alexander Perrin and Jessie Yusek
Denis Morris Highschool:
 Majda Hareri and Sara Hermida
Sir Winston Secondary Collegiate: Rebecca Hindrichs and Patrick Sprzalkpwski
West Park Collegiate: Megan Annis and Steven Coomb 
 
John D'Ambrosio thanked everyone who attended and asked if any of the Principals or staff attending would like to come to the podium to speak.
 
ATTENDANCE REPORT

Norris Brown reported 20 members, six make ups, and 19 guests for 80 per cent attendance.

As there was no further business for the good of Rotary, President Paul wished everyone a good week in Rotary and adjourned the meeting at 1:10 p.m.
