John Teibert - received a photo album from the board for his Rotarian President’s year;
Jim Hooper - spent the weekend at his in laws pool and enjoyed their rum;
Jim Howes - he is very happy that his wife, Nancy, is back from Alaska;
Paul Massuet - he and Mimi are moving to Anchor point even if their house does not sell. Mimi is feeling a little better and send her thanks for all the support from our club;
Paul Monaghan - enjoyed his holiday in Ireland. He is participating in The Heart and Stroke Ride and is hoping to get club support;
Cathy Henry - is being proactive and hopes to see the Stanley Cup coming back to Canada;
Arie Vrugteveen- he and his wife heard their baby’s heart beat.

June 19-25 – RYLA - The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program is being held the 19th-25th of June, 2011 at SUNY Fredonia, New York.
There will be a semi-formal dinner at the Cranston Marche (above Star Bucks), University Commons, on the evening of Thursday June 23rd, 2011 to celebrate the successful graduation of another group of RYLArians. We would like you to enjoy the evening and meet with the candidates, now graduated RYLArians at this dinner.  The dinner is open to friends and relatives alike.  Reception and fellowship will be at 6pm, welcome at 6:15pm and dinner at 6:30pm. Rotary Clubs that are within the vicinity of SUNY might like to attend the dinner in place of or in addition to their weekly club meeting. 17 – 23 – Tour du Lac – Sponsorship Opportunities  - Jim Howes requested consideration for drivers for the  Enbridge Sag wagon for the ride. Cathy reminded everyone that this is a great way to help the club meet our pledge for The Lab by sponsoring a rider. http://www.rotarytourdulac.ca
 
Hooper asked for assistance in getting out the last few thank you notes from The Rally-he needs addresses and contact names.
 
Jim reported that the GSE group will be from Brazil this year- they will arrive the first week of October.
 
Cathy reported that 20 tables have already been sold for the Take It to Heart Gala and to see her as soon as possible if you plan to go. The committee is also looking for Menu course sponsors and ad sponsors. All monies raised will help us meet our goal for the pledge.

Dan introduced Marcel Morgeon a lawyer, Trade Mark Agent and Patent Agent. Marcel is a 24 year Rotarian from the Hamilton Club. Marcel is licensed to practice in Ontario, Quebec and New York State.
 
Marcel spoke about understanding copywright and how it affects our daily lives. Please see insert to be emailed to members.   
   
Jean Holbert-Leighton thanked Marcel for a very informative topic.
