Ian Forbes spoke to the Club regarding the "Tour du Lac"; an International Grand Tour Cycling Event around Lake Ontario, proposed as a three-year fundraiser for Take it to Heart. Ian explained his personal circumstances as to why he is so passionate about helping the Cardian Cath Lab and reviewed the goals, risks, and needs of Tour du Lac. He also reviewed a tentative budget. Ian asked for participation of five to six club members on a planning committee.

Club members asked that this matter be deferred to the General Assembly for further discussion. Subsequent to the meeting, it was realized that there would not be time at the General Assembly to address this and President John said he would email club members asking for approval and would include further information from Ian that would explain what would be needed from club members.

Jean Stewart thanked Ian for his very informative presentation and presented him with a nice pen from our club .

Ron reported 22 members, four guests, and eight make ups for 88 per cent attendance.

As there was no further business for the good of Rotary, President John wished everyone a good week in Rotary, adjourning the meeting at 1:30 p.m., and left members with this thought for the day:

"You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget that errand."  - Woodrow Wilson
