Melody Cunningham has been a serving member of the May Court Club of St. Catharines since 1979. The May Court Club is the longest-standing service organization in Canada since 1898. The St. Catharines Chapter joined in 1935.

Spanning 30 years, Melody's contributions to the club include:
• Costume Committee member for Court Jesters
• Club Treasurer
• Bingo Chair
• Toy Bureau volunteer
• Christmas to Remember volunteer
• Ticket sales coordinator
• Serving as Vice-President and now President of the Club for three years

Melody has also been active on various committees for her daughter Erin's skating club.

In 2002, Melody joined the Gala Committee for Hospice Niagara. Over a five year period, the Gala Committee raised $400,000.

In 2006, Melody became Chair of the Take it to Heart Gala Committee whose focus is help raise $750,000 for a Cardiac Catheterization Lab within the new Niagara HealthSystem in partnership with the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South, the May Court Club of St. Catharines, and PerformanceCars.

Melody has been honoured by the City of St. Catharines for her volunteerism.
