"Greg McDonald took his job as President of the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South very seriously. He always conducted himself in a timely, professional fashion and clearly demonstrated that he was both proud and respectful of the position."

- Paul Monaghan, President

Greg McDonald joined the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South in 2004, sponsored by Dr. George Fitzpatrick.

Greg immediately became involved in club activities. He served as bingo chair for two-and-a-half years, as a member of the donations committee for two years, and as a member of the international projects committee for one year. He is also a participant in the Rotary Bonspiel and Bike Trek.

Greg served for five years on the board of directors as community service director, then as incoming president, club president during the 2008-2009 Rotary year, and now past president assisting Paul Monaghan.

Under Greg's presidency, the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South invested in the Guatemala Literacy project, the Fog Quest project, the Gift of Reading program, and FACs summer camp. The club also sponsored a Shelter Box, which was used to shelter flood victims in Namibia, Africa.

Greg is particularly proud that the club sponsored the first Early Act Club at MotherTeresa School in St. Catharines.
