Greg McDonald joined the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South in 2004, sponsored by Dr. George Fitzpatrick.

Greg immediately became involved in club activities. He served as bingo chair for two-and-a-half years, as a member of the donations committee for two years, and as a member of the international projects committee for one year. He is also a participant in the Rotary Bonspiel and Bike Trek.

Greg served for five years on the board of directors as community service director, then as incoming president, club president during the 2008-2009 Rotary year, and now past president assisting Paul Monaghan.

Under Greg's presidency, the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South invested in the Guatemala Literacy project, the Fog Quest project, the Gift of Reading program, and FACs summer camp. The club also sponsored a Shelter Box, which was used to shelter flood victims in Namibia, Africa.

Greg is particularly proud that the club sponsored the first Early Act Club at MotherTeresa School in St. Catharines.

A geologist turned entrepreneur, Greg is a take-charge individual with a quiet touch. He sees in Rotary the opportunity to help people improve their lives.

For his effective leadership, the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South is proud to recognize Greg McDonald as a Paul Harris Fellow.
